For families who have built something meaningful

You have built wealth.
Now what is it for?

Most successful people reach a point where the money is there, but the peace of mind is not. We pair institutional-grade technical depth with a different question at the center, so your wealth finally serves the life you are actually building.

What makes Remnant different.

A two-minute overview from David on the question most advisors never ask, and why it changes everything about how your wealth gets managed.

What Makes Remnant Different

Technical excellence in service of what actually matters.

We bring the same systematic frameworks used for billion-dollar portfolios, then point them at a question most advisors never ask.

01 We start with your life, not your portfolio.

Most advisors ask what is in your accounts. We ask what is keeping you up at night, and what you would do if money were not a concern.

02 We bring institutional-grade sophistication.

The systematic frameworks, quantitative modeling, and analytical rigor used for the largest portfolios, applied to your family's wealth.

03 We give you clarity on enough.

Real numbers, stress tests, and scenarios that tell you whether your plan actually works, so you can stop wondering and start living.

04 We connect every strategy to life outcomes.

Tax optimization, portfolio construction, retirement income. They are not the goal. They are the tools that create freedom to focus on what matters.

The money is there. The peace of mind is the work.

Technical excellence in service of what actually matters.

I chased performance for years, first on the field as a professional baseball player, then in institutional finance working with one of the world's largest investment firms. I was driven, and I was missing the point.

The breakthrough was simple: technical excellence in investing is not the goal. It is the tool that creates freedom to focus on what you are actually here for. I have since built businesses from the ground up, navigated an exit, and now run Remnant Wealth with a different question at the center: what is the money actually for?

  • Former professional athlete, built for high-stakes performance
  • Institutional finance at one of the world's largest privately held asset managers
  • CPWA and CIMA certifications in advanced wealth management, plus an MBA
  • Built and exited a business, with M&A advisory from acquisition to disposition

The Next Step

Your first conversation is about your life, not your portfolio.

The Impact Call is a focused conversation about the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

01

We Explore

What does fulfillment actually look like for you? Family time, a transition, generosity, freedom to pursue purpose.

02

We Identify

What is creating anxiety right now? Fear of running out, an uncertain business exit, a heavy tax burden.

03

We Quantify

What would enough feel like? Most people have never done the math. We will show you, in real numbers.

04

We Clarify

What tradeoffs are you willing to make? We clarify your priorities, then build the plan together.

What You Are Probably Wondering

Honest answers to the real questions.

Most people never run the real math, so the anxiety follows them no matter how big the number gets. We answer it directly. We model your spending, your income sources, your taxes, and a range of market outcomes, then stress-test the plan against bad years, not just average ones. You walk away knowing whether your plan holds up and exactly what would need to change if it does not. Clarity on enough is the entire point.

Taxes are the lever most households leave untouched, and it compounds for decades. We look at multi-year Roth conversion timing, tax-loss harvesting, charitable strategy, where each asset is held, and how your income is sequenced in retirement, then build a plan that projects years ahead instead of reacting every April. The goal is simple: keep more of your money working for your family. We do not provide legal or tax advice, and we coordinate with your CPA.

For most owners the business is the single largest piece of their wealth, and the structure you put in place early can be worth far more than the offer itself. The difference between an asset sale and a stock sale alone can move the number significantly. We bring M&A-level thinking to valuation, deal structure, and the years leading up to a sale, including steps like maximizing retirement contributions to reduce taxable income going into the exit. The worst time to plan a business sale is after you already have a buyer.

Fair question, and honestly, if all an advisor does is pick a few funds and rebalance once a year, you do not need one. AI tools are useful for general information, but they only know what you tell them, they are right roughly half the time, and they carry no fiduciary duty to you. What we do is different: coordinated tax strategy, business and estate planning, real stress-tested modeling, and a fiduciary who is accountable for your outcome rather than a generic answer. The value was never the fund picks. It is the decisions around them.

It means two things that protect you. Fiduciary means we are legally required to act in your best interest, always. Fee-only means we are paid an asset-based management fee and nothing else: no commissions, no kickbacks from investment companies, no product quotas. When your portfolio grows, we benefit; when it declines, our fee declines too. We walk through the complete fee schedule during your first meeting so there are never surprises.

This is the fear that keeps people up at night, so we plan for it on purpose. Your portfolio is built to manage the depth of the drawdowns, not just chase returns, and your plan is stress-tested against severe down years before they ever happen. The point is not to predict the next crash. It is to know, in advance, that your plan still works when one arrives.

Legacy is less about how much you leave and more about how much actually arrives, and the impact it creates. We coordinate trusts, gifting strategy, charitable structures, and education funding into one plan, with an eye on both tax efficiency and your intentions for the next generation. We work alongside your estate attorney to put the right structures in place.

There is no hard minimum, but to be upfront, comprehensive planning tends to create the most value for families with roughly five hundred thousand dollars or more in investable assets, or significant income. At that level, tax optimization, portfolio efficiency, and business exit planning can move real numbers. If you are earlier in your journey, we are glad to have an honest conversation about whether working together makes sense yet.
